It's a discussion site

I have noticed that some people outside Libervis don't quite understand what Libervis is. For example:

Which was linked to from the BLAG forums as "Bad press for libervis".

Libervis never asked anything, it's a discussion site. Someone asked something on Libervis, which is quite different.
Nothing published on libervis.com is usually not the opinion of Libervis, not even if it was written by libervisco. If, for example, someone sends us an opinion piece explaining why Free Software is bad, we will publish it (and rip it to pieces in the comments, cause we're a discussion site ).
The only way something can be the opinion of Libervis is when it has been approved by both the moderators and the regular users of the site.

So why do I make an issue out of this? Well, if something is presented as "the opinion of Libervis", that implies it's also my opinion. I'd like to choose my opinion myself, thank you very much. (In case you wonder, my opinion about what the FSF should run on their servers is undecided.) Also, when something is "bad press for Libervis", that means it's bad press for me, a libervis moderator.

So let's make clear what Libervis is not:
Libervis is not a propaganda site.
Libervis does not try to be "holier" than the FSF or anyone else.
Libervis does not tell anyone what they should do with their own computer.
Libervis is not anticapitalist or antiglobalist. (another misconception I've seen floating around)
It's a discussion site for people who are concerned about freedom in the digital age. No more no less. If it ever becomes one of the four things above, I'll probably leave it.

I admit we do see a lot of similar opinions on Libervis. I dare you to submit an article I can strongly disagree with, so we can have an even more interesting discussion.
